The New Home Buyer’s Guide to Going Green

Aesthetic LED Lighting Uses Much Less Electricity
Our homes utilize the newest and most efficient lighting. Visually appealing, minimalistic LEDs bathe each room in a warm golden light that is bright, yet soft. The LED lighting we use to create this experience ranges from 2600K – 3000K. This ambient lighting decreases our Clients’ power consumption and is far more durable and long-lasting than traditional lighting methods.
Eight Inches of Insulation on Roof and Roof Deck
On average, we use eight inches of insulation on our roofs and roof decks for optimal energy efficiency. Actual insulation on our homes ranges from four to 12 inches; increased insulation produces heating, cooling, and noise reduction properties. Each Client can help decide their ideal thickness, based on their specific preferences.

Solid Slab Floors Increase Energy Efficiency
Solid slab flooring reduces our carbon footprint and increases energy efficiency. Additionally, it is low maintenance, easy to clean, and difficult to damage or scrape. Utilization of solid slab flooring also contributes to noise reduction throughout the home.

High Energy Efficient Windows
We use top-of-the-line energy efficiency windows, which are also rated for wind gusts of up to 155 miles per hour. Our Clients save on heating and cooling costs due to the superior insulation and energy efficiency provided by these windows. These windows also provide the added benefit of insulating the home from outside noise, ensuring quiet and peaceful enjoyment of the space.

Tankless Water Heaters – No Waste
Utilization of Tankless Water Heaters ensures that our Clients can bathe at their leisure – without having to worry about running out of hot water or waiting 30 minutes between showers for the hot water to refill and reheat. We use Rinnai Tankless Water Heaters, a high-end option that heats more efficiently, thus minimizing waste and reducing electric bills. Unused hot water is no longer stored within the water heater for countless hours, therefore, these water heaters remain a long-lasting solution and a solid investment.

Tesla Powerwall 2 Battery Backup
The Tesla Powerwall 2 provides reliable backup battery power day and night – optimal for utility outages, emergency situations, and natural disasters. This compact, stack-able device can be mounted inside or outside due to its water and dust proof design. The touch-safe Powerwall 2 is a completely automated system that installs easily, requires no maintenance, and has a ten-year warranty. The Powerwall 2 easily integrates with solar panels or operates independently. This Smart technology allows users to check the status and control energy usage from their phones – for on the go use.

Tesla Solar Shingles (When Available)
Tesla offers a variety of solar shingles to fit the individual aesthetic of each Client’s home. Currently, the options include both Textured and Smooth shingles. In the near future, Tesla is anticipated to offer Tuscan and Slate shingles. Tesla’s Solar Roof, made up on these invisible solar cells housed in the solar shingles, is proven to be stronger than traditional tiles and can withstand the highest rating of hail (Class 4). Tesla’s Solar Roof comes with a lifetime warranty.

Solar Power Available
Setting up solar power for many of our Clients has been an effective way of ‘going green’ and saving on electric bills. We install traditional solar panels or Tesla solar shingles, depending on our Clients’ preferences. Many of our Clients choose to utilize one of these options and many choose to connect solar power to the Tesla Powerwall 2 for an elegant, uninterrupted off-grid energy solution.
